Yjastros 34 is an epic collaboration, the seasonal culmination of the company’s evolution, including expanded programming and new works. It is also a new artistic journey with international award-winning Spanish guest artists Daniel Doña and Cristian Martín as well as the Orchestra of New Spain under Musical Director Grover Wilkins. The world premiere choreographic masterpieces to be presented, highlighting both tradition and innovation in flamenco, were created for Yjastros by artists at the global forefront of the art form during their residencies in the University of New Mexico’s Dance Program.
